The functions of The New Logos Dictionary
| |
This function can find the word in all its positions inside the Dictionary both within a sentence (like
proverbs or idiomatic expressions) and in an isolated position (i.e. just the word and nothing more).
| |
This function can find only the word itself, just as it has been entered.
| |
This function can find all terms and expressions which begin exactly with the letters you have entered.
| |
This function, unlike the previous one, can find all the words or expressions ending with the letters entered.
It can be a useful instrument for poets and songwriters to find rhymes.
| |
If it is necessary, the function “Help” is able to give all the instructions about the instrument you are
using.
| |
The function context can be used to find a word in its proper context, in an extract of Wordtheque, the
Logos multimedia library.
| |
The function translation shows the translation of the word entered.
| |
The function image shows an image that is associated with the word in question.
| |
The function sound allows you to hear the right pronunciation of the word in question.
| |
Add new lemma
